AAA 3000™

The Blueslice AAA 3000™ is a RADIUS server integrated with the Converged Subscriber Platform 3000™ ngHLR and HSS applications. It provides Authentication and Authorization services to RADIUS-enabled network access servers (NAS), such as GGSNs, dial-up servers, BRAS, etc. It is a critical component of WiFi and DSL authentication, either via username/password or SIM credentials, which are obtained from the HLR subscriber profile.

RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial In User Service) has become a de facto standard in IP networks. By adding “RADIUS” Server functionality to the CSP 3000™, Blueslice is to push further the database consolidation and allow a better integration and convergence throughout the network.

Serving as an Authentication Authorization Accounting Server, the AAA 3000™ simplifies the network topology by providing the relevant AAA functions to 3GPP and non-3GPP networks. In addition to supporting basic RADIUS protocols like PAP and CHAP, the AAA server supports a range of advanced features such as GGSN AAA Server (User Authentication and IP address Allocation, etc.). The AAA 3000™ is available as a simple, software-only upgrade from the ngHLR 3000™.
