Serving as the Home Subscriber Server (HSS) function in IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), the HSS 3000™ is the central subscriber database for next generation IP networks. HLR/AuC functions are integrated with a next generation HSS into a multi-profile, converged database for GSM/GPRS and 3G, as well as for any network providing access to IMS services, such as WiMAX and cable/DSL. The HSS 3000™ provides control and intelligence within mobile and fixed networks, the creation and management of multiple profiles per subscription, and facilitates a controlled migration to SIP-centric IMS networks.
The HSS 3000™ serves as a single platform that provides access to IMS services from multiple network types. Not only is the HSS 3000™ a fully compliant Home Subscriber Server with 3GPP IMS specifications, but it also supports TISPAN for fixed line connectivity, PCMM for cable telephony devices, and 3GPP2 MMD for mobile user equipment. With support for both IETF and 3GPP SIP-centric networks, the Blueslice HSS is also compatible with rapidly growing WiFi and WiMAX networks.
