The Blueslice ngHLR 3000™ serves as the mission-critical function for subscriber profile management in GSM/GPRS and UMTS networks. Offering the functionality, telecom-grade performance, and scalability exceeding current market offerings, and with an open, non-proprietary platform, the ngHLR 3000™ is changing the HLR paradigm for mobile service providers.
The ngHLR 3000™ offers a compact and large capacity Home Location Register with an integrated Authentication Center. With a capacity scalable to several million subscribers within a single 12U shelf, and up to 24 million within a 42U telecom rack, the Blueslice ngHLR 3000™ enables service providers to grow their networks without the need to invest in expensive and proprietary legacy equipment, and the small footprint reduces the immediate operating costs for central office floor space.
The Blueslice ngHLR 3000™ powers unique features such as advanced low cost roaming solutions, HLR-based Fixed Mobile Convergence, SIP interfaces for VoWiFi-GSM mediation, and a Pay-as-You-Grow pricing scheme. For example, the SIP HLR Interworking feature of the ngHLR 3000™, specifically tailored for next generation mobile service providers, enables low-cost VoIP softswitches to query the HLR directly using SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) methods or XML operations, as would a MAP-enabled G-MSC.
Operation and maintenance of the system is achieved through the integrated and user-friendly Web Craft Interface for system provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance. Additionally, the system can be operated through the CLI interface for management and provisioning. The system integrates with the operator's own operation and maintenance center and provisioning system, achieved through XML/SOAP schemas. Instead of managing disparate subscriber profiles in different boxes, consolidated subscriber profiles from all access networks drives unmatched network management simplicity. The combination of a small footprint and a simplified OAM&P system drives unprecedented OPEX reductions.
