Solutions
The Blueslice HLR/HSS-based Fixed Mobile Convergence solution allows subscribers to roam between GSM and IP networks, accessing the benefits of both networks: the expansive coverage of cellular networks and the lower cost, download speeds, and service opportunities of IP networks. The Blueslice solution enables seamless inter-working between both networks by integrating an Authentication Center, Radius Server, SIP Registrar, and SIP Redirect Server into the core HLR functionality, authenticating subscribers and performing call mediation between SS7 and SIP networks. By bridging SS7 and SIP networks, a subscriber can have one number that follows him in the home, office, and away with a dual-mode GSM/WiFi mobile terminal or on multiple devices. Fixed Mobile Convergence also enables a platform to deploy sophisticated services in today's networks, including multimedia, gaming, IM, streaming video, email, browsing, and web-based applications, creating the opportunity for new business models and further differentiation. The Blueslice FMC solution is 3GPP and IETF compliant and supports standard SIP, MAP, and ISC (IMS Service Control) interfaces, making the platform an IMS-compliant SIP Application Server.
Blueslice empowers innovative service providers to converge, in one single network entity, the subscriber registration and call mediation control for both SIP and cellular domains.
